Attendance Tracking

Nexora tracks daily student and staff attendance, generates monthly reports, and sends automated absence alerts.

Homeroom teachers and administrators mark daily attendance from the dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Nexora > Students > Attendance (or Daily Attendance).
  2. Select attendance filters:
    • Academic Session: Defaults to current session.
    • Class & Section: Choose the class being marked (e.g., Class 9 - Section A).
    • Date: Defaults to today's date.
  3. The student roll roster loads with status selectors:

    • Absent (A): Student was not present.
    • Late (L): Student arrived after roll call.
    • Half-Day (HD): Student attended for part of the day.
    • Excused (E): Approved absence with prior notification/medical note.
  4. Click Mark All Present to set all students to Present, then toggle individual absentees manually.
  5. Add optional attendance remarks for specific students if necessary.
  6. Click Save Attendance.

Automated SMS Absence Alerts

If an SMS gateway is configured in Nexora > Settings > Notifications, marking a student as Absent can automatically trigger an instant SMS notification to their primary guardian.
